Over the past decade, price of land around the lakes has skyrocketed with villas being developed within 10 kms radius being sold for anywhere between Rs 1 crore and Rs 3.5 crore. Government of Telangana is going to scrap the GO 111 which prevents construction activity in 10 kms radius of two lakes. The prices of the lands around the lakes may increase upto 25 crores per acre.
